"The time management module was very useful especially for a person like me who believes in the last minute preparation. Now, I have learnt to manage time effectively by delegating some responsibilities to people around me. The best thing about the workshop was the concept of "Visiting the Wells". I had totally forgotten the other side of me and have now personally started learning Carnatic Music- my all time hobby. The workshop on Effective Communication taught me that it is very essential not only to be a good speaker but also to be a good listener. The reading materials were very exhaustive and thought provoking. I feel my attitude and perceptions have changed for the better."

"It has been a very wonderful experience. It gave a new dimension to teaching and learning. Various ways of active learning can make teaching meaningful, exciting, enjoyable. Each module was more thought provoking than the other. I was impressed with some modules like Quality circle time, the student assessment module and the Module on Preparation of Lesson Plan Template. The assessment module enabled us to realize what an assessment means, about how, when and why do we assess a child."

“An integrated holiday homework given to students of class VIII was appreciated by the students and the parents as well. It was analytical as well as creative. The parents and the students said it was different from the past years. Thanks to WIPRO.”

One technique that worked wonders with my children was the “Visualization Technique”. I tried it out while rehearsing for our annual day function. The girls were putting up a dance. During practices when they were given time to rest, I asked them to sit down and shut their eyes. Then I played the music and asked them to recall all the steps in their minds. They started shaking and moving unconsciously with the music. I was amazed. This helped them to remember their steps.

It is more important to be a good listener than a speaker, to be an effective communicator. We must all be active listeners with our students.

I felt a child of 7 years will never be able to frame questions, answer the 5 whys, do the reciprocal teaching or follow what is RAFT strategy. But I was wrong.

The GOs are really helpful in introducing the chapter and in the end recapitulating it in a short time. The teaching strategies are also very useful and bring about a lot of positive response from the students.
