Azim Premji Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, operational since 2001, with a vision to – “Significantly contribute to achieve quality universal education that facilitates a just, equitable and humane society”. Eklavya
Eklavya is a non-profit, non-government organisation that develops and field tests innovative educational programmes and trains resource people to implement these programmes. It functions through a network of education resource centres located in Madhya Pradesh. For over two decades, Eklavya has sought to relate the content and pedagogy of education – both formal and non-formal - to social change and the all-round development of the learner. This is done through Jodo Gyan Educational Services, which is registered as a Trust. A "profit-for-all" nonprofit organization, Katha works in the broad areas of language, culture and translation, as well as poverty alleviation. Story and storytelling are the two powerful tools we use as publishers, teachers and agents of change. Founded in 1988 by Geeta Dharmarajan, Katha is one of India’s leading publishing houses and NGOs. Our work includes storytelling, the publication of translations and children’s books, as well as literacy, education and community development. With it’s focus on education, Katha runs a school for slum-children, as well as the Tamasha School on Wheels for the street children in New Delhi. Swanirvar started work in 5 villages in the North 24 Parganas district near Calcutta in December 1989.
